Who wants to Root their HTC One X and One XL?

I have to give a big thanks to the guys at XDA, as they have done it again. Kennethpenn has posted a very simple way to root your HTC One X and the HTC One XL. With a few easy steps you will be on your way to enjoying the sweet rewards that come with rooting your device. Custom ROMs, no bloatware, and improved battery life just to name a few. With that being said, I must remind you, rooting your phone voids your warranty, and all the blame is solely on you should something go wrong.

If you’re still reading this and want to know more, click on the source link below for all the instructions. I would also like to thank sparkym3 for the exploit and crisis187 for being a brave tester. We want to know in the comments below, how many of you plan to try this?

The application has a vast suite of features not available in any other Android software. Read the contextual help and explore the UI by creating your own lists and profiles to familiarize yourself with these features.

If you find Call Master too complex but like the power of its root telephony manager, have a look at our other call management app, Root Call Blocker. It works just as effectively and may suit your needs better.

★ Your screen will never turn on
★ Private call and SMS inbox with log sweeper
★ Reject unknown, withheld and private numbers
★ Full password protection
★ Route message content to other numbers
★ Clear frequent call logs in ICS

★ Seven reject methods
★ Filter SMS by content
★ Automatic text routing and replies
★ Regular expression and wildcard filters
★ Custom notifications
★ Backup encryption and password protection
★ Powerful logging and sorting system
★ Number testing
★ Independent contact library for total privacy
★ Profile scheduling
★ Light and dark themes

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag screens and timeouts from the interface.

Dont believe the hype about Extreme Call Blocker, Mr Number or Call Control, those apps are not the only ones that work on Gingerbread – Call Master functions on any Android version 2.1 and up, is much faster and 100% silent.

This app does not control your voicemail service. If your blocked calls are being sent to voice mail, try another blocking method or use Google.

If calls to numbers you have blocked appear in your messaging app or dialer, dont forget to add the Make Private action to your list and sweep the logs by long-pressing the relevant list.

OUTGOING CALL permissions are needed for Hidden mode, refer to the Help for more information on why, possibly free hat racks for your tin hats.

ACCOUNTS are needed for Google contact Groups.

SEND SMS needed for auto-replies and SMS routing.

INTERNET ACCESS mandatory for licensing, Flurry and access to the radio layer.

LOG DATA is only sent with your permission via the “Write to us” menu item in Settings. If you block access using a permissions security app, Call Master will not work.

Root All Motorola Gingerbread Phones

An XDA forum member named rodrigojfuentes has come up with a method to root all Motorola phones that are currently running Gingerbread. If you have a computer running Linux, you’re ready to get started. PC and Mac users will need to run a Linux virtual machine to continue. From the command line, you just run a few commands, alter a few files, flash, and voilá… root attained! Ready to get started? You should visit XDA forum.
